__ Develop a company endorsement letter and distribute it to employees.
__ Recruit Co-Captains to help in companies with many departments and/or employees.
2. Recruit Your Team
__ Plan an internal company kick-off event with the help of your local chapter.
__ Spread the word via company memo or e-mail of your organization's Team participation and announce the date and time of your internal kick-off. (Perhaps even consider a payroll stuffer.)
__ Place an article in your company's newsletter or on its website.
__ Display Light The Night Walk posters and sign-up sheets in high-traffic work and lounge areas.
__ Have team members complete registration forms.
__ Encourage Team members to recruit families, friends, and neighbors to join the Team. Remember to mail Team member registrations to your nearest office of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, on an on-going basis.
3. Keep The Momentum Going
__ Generate Team enthusiasm with regular updates about members recruited and funds raised. Remind Team members of the significance of their participation and contributions through memos, e-mail, etc.
__ Regularly publicize your company's fundraising progress, including recognition of top fundraisers.
4. Collect The Money
__ Set a date for collection of Team Members' Sponsor Envelopes.
__ Collect all Team Member Sponsor envelopes, complete the Team Captain Envelope, and return them to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on the designated day.
5. Celebrate Your Success
__ Celebrate with your Team on the Light The Night Walk night by joining others in the fulfillment of this fun and memorable experience.
__ Attend all the Walk festivities and congratulate your teammates (and yourself) for participating.
__ Recognize your Team members' efforts with a celebratory post-Walk memo or e-mail that highlights your corporate fundraising achievement and the members who accomplished it.
