Q: Is team membership only for companies?
A: Not at all. Teams can be formed using families, friends or members of community group organizations (school groups, religious groups, civic organizations, clubs).

Q: Is it difficult to organize a Team?
A: It's not hard at all. Once you appoint a Team Captain to act as a liaison between The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and your group, we provide all the materials and guidelines to ensure success in building a large Light The Night Walk Team.

Q: Does having a team require some kind of corporate donation?
A: Corporate donations are encouraged but not required. The majority of Team contributions will be generated by your individual Team members. However, corporate matching gifts can enhance employee fundraising efforts.

Q: How is the money collected?
A Each Team member is responsible for collecting funds from supporters and turning them in to the Team Captain, who forwards them to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Q: How are funds raised through the Light The Night Team?
A: Individual Team members are responsible for raising funds from co-workers, friends, neighbors and family members who wish to back the Team and support the cause. Teams can also conduct special events to raise funds.

Q: Is Team membership limited to employees of the company?
A: Not at all. Team participation is encouraged among employees' families, friends, and neighbors. The magical and uplifting setting of the Light The Night Walk creates a fun, wholesome event that brings co-workers and their families together outside the office for the purpose of helping others.

Q: What can senior management do to facilitate building a Light The Night Walk Team?
A: Managment can encourage Team participation in a number of ways: sign up for the Team themselves; draft and distribute a company-wide memo or e-mail endorsing the Light The Night Walk; authorize a company-wide recruitment and information meeting, and purchase T-shirts that Team members can wear to promote their company's commitment to the Light The Night Walk.

Q: How long is the walk?
A: Actual distances vary by route and city, but the approximate length is 2 - 3 miles. A relaxed pace is the norm on this walk, which takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Q: Are pets, strollers, bicycles or in-line skaters allowed to participate?
A: Please check with your nearest office regarding pets. Strollers are welcome; however, for everyone's safety, bicycles and in-line skates are not allowed. Contact your nearest office of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with any questions about the Light The Night Walk
